That time of year is thankfully upon us once again – summer! I’m so happy that I can walk out of the house in shorts and flip-flops with my face and neck unencumbered by a scarf.

I remember one of the more difficult issues that arose from the early years in my modeling career was the question of whether to go to college or not. These are not easy decisions for parents and their teens to make.

I’ll never forget it. I was shopping for shoes at Barney’s in NY with a friend and there were a lot of people around since it was during the time of year that the store holds one of their bi-annual sales.

I don’t know about you but I’m ready for the heat already! Enough of the rainy damp Seattle-style weather please: we’re washing away over here in NY!

OK so we know that forgiveness of others is important because it frees the forgiver as well as acknowledges – no matter (almost) what – the humanity all of us have in common.

Where do you find your personal style? Online via fashion sites? Do you look to your favorite celebrities for ideas? Do you pick up ideas from street fashion, or perhaps at school or at work?

I gained a great amount of self-esteem as a model. I had been a shy girl who wasn’t that confident before modeling had entered my life. I had difficulties at home, parental stuff that we all deal with in one way or another.

Ahh clothing….I personally don’t enjoy the task of putting together an outfit for day or night. Can’t we all have personal stylists at the snap of our finger please?!

My college years were spent modeling all over the globe. It was not the typical situation one is in during those few years of their life. Models don’t experience the protection that college offers a person.

What do you do when you don’t have time to go home and change from your work clothes into your play clothes? I like to follow some basic “rules” that make it easier for me in such cases.

Only recently have I incorporated a physical and mental prep before I head to the set. I’m a natural meditator, I’ve enjoyed practicing on and off for years. I’m also a trained dancer, having been in classes since I was 5.

Even though white pumps might be hot this spring, I don’t think I’ll be buying a pair. I tend to not let current trends dictate my wardrobe choices too much, since I feel best wearing whatever style of fashion I’m in the mood for at the time.
